General description of the collection: The Capt. Don C. Kemp photograph collection consists of photos of United States (U.S.) Army activities at the Panama Canal Zone in the 1920s and 1930s. Fort Clayton, Fort Amador, Fort Randolph, and Fort Sherman are included. Units pictured are: Battery B, 65th U.S. Coast Artillery Regiment; 2nd U.S. Field Artillery Regiment; 14th U.S. Infantry Regiment; and 33rd U.S. Infantry Regiment. Activities include training in the jungle as well as on heavy artillery pieces, parades, and equitation. There are also some photos of the Canal and various ships.
